How do we report an unpaid civil judgement to the credit bureau?

A judgment of $15,000 is on my credit report. This judgement belonged to my mother. We have the exact same name! first middle and last. She passed away 5 years ago and was never taken care of. I have disputed this with Transunion 4 times to have it removed since it is not mine. No matter what i try to do they wont to take it off. What should i do??

File a dispute with the credit reporting agencies (all three). If you can show it's not yours, they should remove it. When I was 18, the credit bureaus had me married to my father (and I am male). Mistakes happen.

Any reporting agency by law has 30 days to take action and respond to a dispute. Assuming you disputed the information as inaccurate they have to take action! If the account is listed with a number call it and speak to someone there. Often if you have proofo the error they can help you get it removed. If you have done this four times as you say and still no action, then the only advice I can give you is to find an attorney and sue to have it removed. You may even be able to sue for damages as this collection would definately stop you from obtaining credit. Hope this helps!

Do you have any documentation that will PROVE it is not your debt? If so, submit that with your dispute letter. If they still won't remove it, file a complaint with your state attorney generals office.

Judgments appear in the public records section of your credit reports. Public records are collected and reported to the credit bureaus by outside agencies, and not your creditors. The credit bureaus may not check public records for disputes. You and your mother may have had the same name, but you didn't have the same birth date and social security number. You would need to go to the court house where the judgments was entered. Get the details that prove that the judgment was against your mother. Send the proof to the credit bureaus and demand that the judgment be removed from your credit reports.

You need to go to the court that issued the judgment to get this resolved. Get a copy of the judgment. You need to make sure that the creditor didn't actually get that judgment against YOU. You may have to get a lawyer to get this all resolved, especially if your SS# is tied to that judgment. Until the court records show this judgment satisfied or set aside, disputing with the credit bureaus won't do you any good.

Get a copy of the judgement. Send it to the bureaus to prove that is not attached to your SSN. You have to PROVE it's not yours, you can't just dispute and have it go away.

Finance plays an all-important role in life of any society irrespective of its social order. Experts should know well the nature of the finance, understand features of formation, distribution and use of financial resources in the state, and also in functioning of credit-and-monetary system. The economist should be prepared for professional work in state structures of federal, regional and municipal level; banks, stock exchanges, the financial and insurance companies, investment funds, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, economic services of the enterprises and the organisations of all patterns of ownership, on the posts demanding the higher economic education.
