Okay, so I was out of work for a while, and couldn't keep up with the credit card payments. Well, now Im trying to get back on my feet, and I ran a credit report the other day, and it came back with that my credit file was locked. Again, it's been a couple-few years since I made a payment on an account and I actually think that the SL has run out since I lived in CA when the accounts were opened. I just want to make right, and don't know what to do. But now, Im really nervous as well as to what I'll find in the credit report if I am able to view it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. What's strange is that the security questions that they asked me didn't pertain, and if I recall correctly, they'll ask you at least one question that pertains to you. I know that I entered my information correctly. Any help is greatly appreciated. No idea what you mena by a locked credit report. If you had a PIN number added to it, then provide the PIN. If you are not aware of one, then call the bureau. Your debt position has nothing to do with being able to pull your credit. People with bad credit can still view their reports. Go to the official free
Rick B is correct, Call the Credit Reporting agency and find out why it's locked. I actually locked my own report as someone was reporting derogatory information that wasn't true and I had the Credit Reporting agency lock it for me. When I need to get a loan I'll have them unlock it, but it stops anyone from reporting something that isn't true. Mine was a case of a name change, and someone reporting it falsely, so...call them and find out what's going on. No one will lock a file on you because your credit isn't good. It could be the possibility that you didn't provide the correct "security" answers to view your report and you were locked for the time being, but they should be able to tell you! Good Luck!!
you should go to . i was having a lot of problems with my credit report but this company helped me out and surprisingly they did it all FREE.
