Credit Card Machines For Small Business - Which is Best Free Terminal or pay-for?
I realize a free terminal is great, but usually comes with a contract like verizon, etc. But a paid terminal may not have all the updates by the FTC for free, and you could end up being fined if your terminal doesn't receive all the updates. (what I've heard)
people like to think they're saving money by buying one, in a sense they are but it's risky, if you aren't processing with a terminal that is updated for FTC guidelines each month, you could run the risk of fines, etc. So I say get a terminal through a good company, like crescent, link above.
