how do i get financial aid for housing when i go to a community college?
I'm 24 and still going to a community college and will hopefully if may grades remain good...transfer to a university in the fall of 2010, I don't have a job although have been looking, taking 19 units at a community college, and have been desperately wanting to move out of my parents house since i was 16. I heard financial aid can pay for housing, but i don't know how to receive it. My question is how do I get financial aid to pay for housing while i go to a community college? And what do I need to do?
Well when they disburse the check they figure you can get a room mate in the near by area, it sucks when schools have no dorms !! HOW CRAPPY
Contact someone at your local city hall or village hall. They will have information for you.. Also, go to your state's official website and look for the Department of Human Services.. Go to the website and look for housing assistance.
Go to the Financial Aid Office. They are the experts in the field. Avoid Student loans wherever possible.
