How does GM's financial problems affect my new car purchase?

I wouldn't worry about it in the short-term. Chevy/GM isn't going to go out of business anytime soon and even if something happens in the future, they will not abandon all of their current customers.
It won't affect it at all...they didn't really lose that much money...it's just an accounting thing having to do with tax breaks..it's too complicated to explain. They are actually doing pretty well..much better than Ford or Chrysler. don't worry about it.
Well it does not. They overall are doing better than the other domestic manufactures. As far as GMAC well GM sold their majority share in GMAC a while back so GMAC will not be affected at all by this. Nothing to worry about. Although they probably will push for a good sales year so there could be a better rebate down the road.
It won't affect anything...A majority of the GMAC portion of the loss was due to subprime home loans that they made. It will not affect the car loans. All that will affect your loan is your own credit rating. Go for it and get the best deal you can.

When you go in tonight, do not be shocked if they raise the price on you. They have to get their money somehow, right? Take your checkbook and enjoy your new car. j/k....don't worry. It wont affect you at all.
