Why don't you remain in the present and work for a better future, instead of sitting idly wondering about the future and doing nothing about it? From what has happened in the last 15 years (from snail mail to text messages), accessing information would definitely be easier and faster. But that would be useless if you do nothing it and just wonder. :-)
HD will probably shrink down to handheld units like phones - imagine everybody with an iPhone. We'll be zapping large capacity media over wireless, and probably dumping it into fixed HD's at home. But they won't stay there for long. Media will probably have a shorter shelf-life in the future since instant downloads will mean that anybody can watch whatever they want when they want it. People will DL, then discard. This actually is happening now in Asia - people download and burn DVDs of pirated movies, then discard them or trade them like baseball cards. Expect our entertainment industry to suffer a painful reorganization - the day of hollywood celebs being feted like gods and commanding million-dollar salaries will be history. Actors and actresses will have to wait tables even after they've made it - but they'll still have jobs. Those hurt most will be those in the entertainment media - the slavish guys who "write" for celeb mags like "People" or "US" or mags that take themselves way too seriously like "Premiere" - they'll have to go ou and get real jobs.
It will turn into a chip placed in your brain as soon as you can walk. There will be no need for hardware, your brain will be like a printer. You will know everything, just like a teenager does. The world economy will fail because nobody does any work, they just learn.
