How is the economy/job market in Taiwan? 10 points for the best advice.?
I talked to my Taiwanese friends. They said, the job market is not good? Is it true?
I think it probably depends on what you want to do. What kind of job are you looking for? You can find some opportunities here:
its alright. as the man above said, it depends on what kind of industry you are going to apply for. check out for english job information, (mostly bushiban /english teaching but some other jobs are advertised here.) or check for more english job information. (the forums here are good for digging for information and asking taiwan related is better if you can read chinese and have a degree or two or a skill set that can serve Mandarin speakers.
Yes, it is not good in comparison with the 1990s. Many businesses and skilled labour have moved to China, but with the new government, there is hope in the future. Trade should pick up with a better relationship with China, but I think it will take at least 10 years to return to the economy of 1990s. As long as you have some kind of qualification and be able to speak English, you should be able to get a decent job.
